OK, so I realized I didn’t give enough details about the wedding and preparations for that magical day! Here’s a few random facts about the amazing day on August 13 2010, the day I became Mrs. Michael Wright!
1. What’s the info on the dress!?!?! I tried on 2 dresses, I didn’t want to drag this it on and get overwhelmed having to choose from like 10 dresses. My mom took me the first time and looked breathless when I walked out in the first dress. It was such a great mother- daughter moment! I picked the second dress after walking around the store for awhile. My brother, Marcus, came for the final fitting and of course added his 2 cents about where my turquoise sash should be lol. Which he was right, his suggestion looked better, having the color around the waist instead of around the bust. My dress was from David’s Bridal. Click here to see the link
Tip #1. Do your homework about your dress Continue reading Random facts about our wedding and tips!!
We have been getting photos and videos in. A few more remain out before we will go through and post them. But have no fear this will happen soon. So far everything looks great.
They are even Emma approved with a thumbs up and a smile
We have posted our wedding vows for everyone to view. If you wish to read the vows that we wrote for each other please do. Read Our Vows. We are still planning on renewing our vows for next year for our 1st year anniversary. So hoping everything goes to plan so those who were unable to join us for the wedding can hear us renew these same vows next year.
It was a beautiful and magical day. We would like to thank everyone that attended and sent their love. We are on our honeymoon now and when we get back we have tons of pictures and some video to go through. We will post these along with our vows and the best man and maid of honor speeches on the website. We will also be giving details of the days events so those who couldn’t join us can follow through our special day. We are going back to the beach. Talk to everyone soon.
We are heading back to the beach to try to figure out restaurants. We had a couple of places in mind but one place is out because of where the private room is. It’s up two flights of stairs…so onto the other place. It also had a private room with a separate entrance, and it seemed like it was going to be just right. At the time we looked at the restaurant, we were unable to talk to the owner or a manger that could of assisted us with setting up the event. So we grabbed the event packet and left our information for an owner or manager to contact us to get more information. After a few days, nothing, nada, zip. So after trying to contact them with no luck either. I had my best man try to get in touch with them.
Luckily he was able to and got some more info. After transferring that info to my parents they were gonna set it up. Well it just so happens, they don’t book events on Friday or Saturday, and that they say they do 5,000 a night on those nights. These supposed facts are very odd considering two things. One – in their event packet we were given it said they host events any day of the week…Two – when we went in to their establishment on a Friday during dinner hours there wasn’t a soul in the place other than the hostess and some cooks. My parents were also told that the packet we were given was put together before they had the private room…OK STOP WAIT….I looked through that packet and there were pictures of the private room in there…so that was a flat out lie. Then the suggestions that were given were just bad…one of the suggestions was that we could reserve the outside upstairs deck…yeah that wont happen. The next suggestion which was the one that just makes me scratch my head and ask what the hell was he thinking….he said that we could have our dinner BEFORE the wedding…just what in anyone’s smart head would think that would be a good idea for a wedding? So that suggestion was out.
The only other idea that was given is that we could pay the $5,000 to book that private room AND pay for the food. That is insane and out of the question.
So now we have a couple more restaurants in line that we are going to check out and try their food. We know which place we like and they were very nice and professional. Wish us luck.
This weekend we are heading to the beach to see a location for the ceremony and check out a few places to have the reception/dinner afterward. Enjoying the sun and sand. We are excited and can’t wait to see where we will be actually saying “I DO”.
The wedding date has been finalized. August 13th 2010. There has many days of going back and forth and trying to figure out what is best for us and what we feel is “Our” day. After much decision making, its not official. Currently the beach is our wedding location but the actual location and which beach is still up in the air currently. This info will be posted very soon.
